How to play

What is SmashFoot?

Online street football on walled courts. Choose 1v1, 2v2 or 3v3 and control one footballer; each team also has an AI goalkeeper, and bots fill empty seats. The ball comes off the walls, so there are no throw-ins or corners. A match has two halves of 1:30 on the game clock, and a draw goes to golden goal.

How do the controls work?

Move with the stick on the left side of the screen. The buttons on the right change with possession: SHOOT/TACKLE, PASS/SPRINT, SKILL/SUPER and TRICK/CALL.

Tap a button for automatic aim, or drag from it to aim yourself with a preview of the ball’s path. Bend the drag to curl the ball. To move or resize the buttons, change their opacity, use left-handed mode or fix the stick in place, go to SETTINGS → CONTROLS → EDIT LAYOUT.

What are Skills and Supers?

Your meter fills over time and with good play. SKILL uses part of it for your playstyle’s skill. With a full meter, SKILL becomes your SUPER. There are six playstyles, and new ones unlock as you level up by playing.

How can I practise?

Your first launch starts with a guided first match. After that, TRAINING has short lessons for every move, plus free practice on your own. VS BOTS plays a full match against bots on your device.

How do I change the language?

The game follows your phone’s language. To change it, go to SETTINGS → LANGUAGE and pick EN, PT or ES.

Online and connection

How does Quick Match find players?

Quick Match looks for players who chose the same match size (1v1, 2v2 or 3v3). Empty seats are filled by bots. If nobody else is searching, you may get a match against bots instead. In a group, you search together and stay on the same team.

I can’t connect, or the game says online is unavailable
  • Check your internet connection, or switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
  • Close and reopen the game, and make sure you have the latest test version.
  • During testing, our servers are sometimes paused for maintenance. Training, free practice and matches against bots still work on your device.

If it keeps happening, email us with the time and your phone model.

The game feels laggy

A stable Wi-Fi connection usually works best. Close other apps that use the internet, and avoid moving between networks during a match.

I didn’t get rewards for a match

Rewards need a connection to our servers. Very short or abandoned matches don’t give rewards, and there is a daily limit on rewarded matches. Free practice gives no rewards.

I changed phones or reinstalled the game. Can I get my progress back?

Not in this test version. You play with a guest account that lives on your device, and account linking with Google or Apple is switched off for now. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data starts a new guest account.

Parental controls

Where are the parental controls?
  1. On the home screen, tap the gear icon at the top right to open SETTINGS.
  2. Choose ACCOUNT, then PARENTS → OPEN.
  3. The first time, a parent creates a 4–8 digit PIN. After five wrong attempts, entry pauses for 30 seconds.
What can parents control?

Paid purchases (there are none in this version), notifications, showing other players’ names, preset signals, optional analytics (adults only), groups with friends, clubs (not available yet), a daily playtime limit and a monthly spending limit. The panel also shows playtime for today and the last 7 days. Press SAVE CONTROLS to keep the changes.

Device controls such as Google Family Link and Apple Screen Time and Ask to Buy still apply.

What are the default settings for younger players?

After the first match, the game asks for an age group (no birthday). For players under 18, or who prefer not to say, the game starts with other players’ names hidden, preset signals off, notifications off, purchases off and a daily playtime limit of 60 minutes. For players under 13 or of unknown age, names and signals stay off unless a parent’s permission has been verified.

On Android, the game also checks Google Play’s age signal. A signal can only make settings stricter. If Google doesn’t share a signal, the game treats the age as unknown and keeps the safer settings.

“Today’s playtime limit has been reached”

The daily playtime limit was reached. A parent can change it in PARENTS, up to 1,440 minutes a day (0 means no limit).

On Android phones where Google Play doesn’t share an age signal, the game brings back the 60-minute limit when it restarts if the limit is set to 0, so enter a number of minutes instead.

We forgot the parent PIN

There is no PIN recovery in this test version. Clearing the game’s data or reinstalling it removes the PIN, but it also starts a new guest account, so progress on this device is lost.

Reporting, muting and blocking

How do I report an offensive name?
  1. After a match, on the results screen, tap the player.
  2. In PLAYER OPTIONS, choose REPORT OFFENSIVE NAME.

Reporting needs a connection. We review reports and may change offensive names or limit the access of players who break the rules.

How do I mute or block someone?

In the same PLAYER OPTIONS panel, MUTE SIGNALS hides that player’s signals, and BLOCK PLAYER also stops sharing a friend room with them. Both apply on your device.

Someone is cheating or behaving badly

Email us with the date and time of the match, the mode, the name shown and what happened. A screenshot or video helps.

Account and data

How do I delete my account?

In the game: SETTINGS → ACCOUNT → ACCOUNT → OPEN → DELETE ACCOUNT, type DELETE and confirm. You can also ask by email, without reinstalling. See Delete your account for what is deleted and what we keep.

What data does the game store?

Your guest account, player name, look, progress, match data and safety settings. The full list is in the Privacy Policy.

Are there purchases or ads?

Not in this test version. Shop items are unlocked with coins you earn by playing, and there are no ads.
